Agnes Malebane

Agnes Malebane is a teacher by profession but also inclined to business. She joined The Premier Group in 1998 as a junior secretary and was later promoted to a social investment officer. Her task in the company was to assess community needs in Tembisa where she discovered the hardship children were going through. This enabled her setup a feeding scheme in order to assist the poor children. Hence, she was considered a philanthropist. Her talent did not just end there as she established her own interior design with financial support from her husband. Through the establishment of her company, she was awarded "SOWETAN BUSINESS WOMEN OF THE YEAR 2006".

Recently, Agnes together with six other people has been given the task to revive Gauteng Civil Society Organization by the National Development Agency. She is also involved in a voluntary work with the city of Johannesburg on community entrepreneurial training. It can however be said that her being humanitarian has earned her a bulk of achievement.
