Murray Webb

Murray Webb has more than 40 years of work experience in various fields including; management, finance, production, projects, amongst others. Following his previous jobs between 1969 to 1972, he set up his own business “Webb industries” which was involved in manufacturing masts and towers, and subsequently diversified into telecommunications peripheral products such as; antennas, connectors, clamps, brackets and a whole host of ancillary products. In 1982, he sold the company to Jasco, a company involved in the manufacture of similar products but for military application. As a member of the Jasco board, the military side of Jasco’s business integrated into Webb. However, in 1996, he left the Jasco group and joined Delta Electrical, as MD of one of their subsidiaries but was recalled in 2000 to head up Webb. Six years later, 50% of the mast and tower division of Webb sold off to a Canadian company where he became the CEO of Webb LeBlanc. He retired as CEO in 2008 but stayed on to handle major contract. He is currently acting as a consultant for Webb LeBlanc three days a week.

Murray Webb completed his MBA at Cape Town, after which he undertook other courses in the USA. During his time in the US, he developed a marketing module which he delivered on numerous occasions over the years at various seminars. On his return to RSA, he was involved as a part time lecturer at the University of Witwatersrand teaching various aspects of business.
