Eve Chayes Lyman

Eve Chayes Lyman is a freelance documentary photographer, media consultant, artist and activist based in the United States. She was a co-founder of Afghans for Civil Society, a civil society-building organisation based in Kandahar. She has served as Executive Director of Boston Mobilization, an organization designed to train a new generation of leaders and engaged young people. During this time, she developed and directed the Democracy Center, a community space in Cambridge, MA. Eve is a freelance photographer whose work combines art and social justice. She travelled to Morocco and Egypt during 2011 to witness the wave of democratisation sweeping the region, and subsequently produced a photobook from her journeys: Arab Spring, a North Africa Journal, and several multimedia pieces.
